Frequently Asked Questions

Can you use my old gold?

Yes. I love to recycle materials — but it’s not always possible. Every piece is unique. I would be happy to look at what material you have and let you know if it's useable.

Can I bring you a gemstone to use in a new piece?

I would be happy to take a look at your stone. If it’s in good shape, let’s find a way to incorporate it into the new piece.

How long does it take to make a custom piece?

Once we have decided on the final design, I like to have about 4-6 weeks to make a custom piece. If you are in a rush, I can often work to accommodate a tight timeline.

Do you sell Canadian Diamonds?

Yes! Canada is a major producer of high-quality diamonds.

Should I make an appointment for a custom design consultation?

Please email me to make an appointment. This allows me to put time aside to talk to you about what you are looking for.

How do I clean my jewellery?

I recommend using mild soap, warm water, and a soft toothbrush. This is a great way to get the dirt off a gemstone so it can sparkle. There are some gems that are very fragile so if you are unsure, please bring me the piece so I can suggest an appropriate cleaning method.

Do you have parking available?

The studio is located at 179 Murray St. in the Byward Market. The building is called the Rectory Art House and is beside St.Brigid’s Centre for the Arts. There is paid meter street parking on Murray and surrounding streets.
